MGT6183   Global Challenges: Ethics, Sustainability and Future of Manufacturing   (0 credits)

Year Running: 2016/2017
Credit level: F7

Description

This zero credit module provides the introduction to the Executive MBA, introducing themes that will be revisited through out the programme. Manufacturing organisations function in complex and dynamic environments, within which decisions and trade-offs have to be made. This module serves as an introduction to a broad range of issues that impact on manufacturing organisations, including sustainability, ethics, global political trends and the future of manufacturing. In a second block, the module will also introduce negotiation skills. Negotiations are a fundamental process in any manufacturing based business because they aim at achieving agreements, without which collective action is nearly impossible.
